You will select an artist from the list below and learn about them using the Internet. You will look at the artists work and select one that interests you. You will create your own artwork inspired by an artist. You will decide which media you will use. You may use watercolor paint, oil pastel, color pencil,markers/sharpies, collage or a combination. Once you select your artist and the media you want to work with, you will sketch you composition. Do several sketches, diddle and write down your ideas, ultimately you will come up with your final idea /composition and sketch. Remember your first idea may be your worst idea, push yourself to be creative and come up with something unique and interesting. Included with your artwork will be a written statement telling which elements and principles you used and where or what in your artwork illustrates it, as well as why you chose the artist who inspired you.
